Among the on-going development programs of SSS, education and child development programme is on the frontline. Ensuring education for children of all strata and contributing to establishment of child rights in the society in general are the key objectives of this programme started in 1991.

In the last twelve years after starting of this programme, about 25000 children have been given direct education and got them involved in different development activities. Specially, disadvantaged and deprived children of the downtrodden section of the society are in the focus of the programme and efforts are being made to protect and promote their rights as per the UN charter.

Formal and informal education, games and sports, adolescents reproductive health, nutrition awareness for physical growth and moral teaching activities are modes that SSS considers necessary for balanced child development. Presently, several child development programs are going on implementing different lines of activities.
