SSS is always looking for volunteers. The organisation is able to provide food allowance, modest accommodation, and primary medical service, local transport expenses and a small pocket allowance. The minimum time commitment required will vary depending on the role undertaken but, generally, a stay of at least six months is preferred.
SSS is always happy to hear from people who share its aims and objectives and have time, energy, skills and experience to offer.
In particular, the following volunteering areas are available: Materials and Curriculum Developer: For education and child development, health, environment, forestry, poultry and livestock, safe drinking and sanitation programs. Both for illiterate people and children, school based children for awareness raining and study on different issues relating to the above mentioned or needs based. Teacher Trainer: For improving delivery skill, educational method development, learning theory for school based teachers in primary and secondary level. English Teacher: For teaching in the school as well as teaching organisational staff. Researcher: For doing research on developmental field; students are most welcome for their internship also. Liaison and Communications: To liaison with related organisations in Bangladesh and internationally and seek partners who can undertake research and development work that will assist with the continued improvement of SSS programs. Press and Publication: Design and publish organisational annual report, training matters, brochures, newsletter, project related document and disseminate it to national and international organisations and according to the organisational need. Physician (GP or Specialist): For full pledged hospital, satellite and static clinic. The patients are from rural community, brothel community, ethnic minority community and general public. It will include wide range of treatment including maternity and childcare. Nurse: For the hospital and satellite clinics. Child Psychologist: For our commercial sex workers children, ethnic minority, street and working children treatment, and to train staff working with these groups.
Fund Raising Officer: To raise money for all aspects of SSS programs and to enable continued expansion of services.
Agriculturist: For our agriculture program, poultry livestock, agro-forestry programs.
Food Technologist: For the food processing unit.
Human Resource Development Trainer: To assist with staff development programs. Software Engineer: Develop software to compact organisational activities in one MIS system.
