Implemented with financial support from IFAD and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the main objective of the ADIP project is to support the landless, marginal and small farmers in their efforts towards socio-economic development through adoption and practices of innovative crop cultivation technologies.
Specifically speaking, the aims of this project is to increase income and improve the nutritional status of the land-poor and marginal farmers' households through poultry rearing, fish cultivation, agro-processing and other income generating activities, and to support the small farm-households in crop diversification and intensification of agricultural activities and other rural enterprises. To achieve its objectives, the ADIP key strategies include: Creation of appropriate environment for agricultural development Technology transfer and dissemination Market promotion Optimal utilization of available land and homesteads Skill development training of identified farmers Organizing the farmers in credit worthy groups Market management and linkage
